Cherry Moon
And yes, CM switched back to techno after a short hardcore adventure. At
least on saturdays, fridays are more diverse (music depends on the party).
The dj on saturdays is Youri again, he usually plays some descent music, but
if you're out of luck he'll play shitty commercial stuff all night long. But
anyway, you can still enjoy the best lasershow in Belgium if you don't like
the music. Ghost dj's in the second room, I haven't heard him, so I don't
know what style he plays (I guess it might be the same style as Youri, but
I'm not sure)
where/when/...: road Ghent-Lokeren, in Lokeren on your right. I think the
Cherry Moon opens around 22:00 and the party starts around 24:00h. Open every
saturday and friday.

Decadance
This is a pub in the centre of Ghent (namely in de Overpoort street)
It's small, the interior isn't very special (but pretty good compared to most of the other pubs on that road), the lightning isn't even worth mentioning, but the music is usually pretty good (beware of tuesdays however) and from time to time some bigname DJ's (mostly national though, like T-Quest, Pierre, Van Biesen, ...) are invited. The musical style varies according to the current trends (last year techno, this year house) but also according to the people organising the party.
The crowd's usually prette nice. From Mondays till Thursdays Decadance attracts students, but in the weekends the usual bunch of clubbers hangs there. On Sundays the place is an after club (starts at about 6 am till the afternoon)
The entrance fee varies from 80 bef to 300 bef.

Etcetera
Another club, previously known as Biba, with a nice interior, maybe a bit
on the small side. A nice laser (for that size of place that is). The music
is too commercial. On fridays there are always lots of (young) people and
nice party atmosphere, but I heard that the saturdays aren't that good (old
people, old music).
where/when/...: on the road Deinze-Kortrijk. Open every friday and sunday.

Extreme
It was rumored for some time that Peter Hoogland was dj'ing in Extreme, but
as far as I know this is not true. On saturday, Tom and DJ Looney Tune play
the music and on monday Phi-Phi. Tom usually plays some pretty good club/trance
music, but if the cd he just compiled (first disc of the Extreme 6 compilation)
represents what he's playing these days, he's more 'mainstream' these days.
Anyways, Phi-Phi's still playing the greatest trance as ever.
where/when/...: it's in Affligem and isn't hard to find once they've turned
on their lights. It's open from 11pm on saturday and monday

Feestpaleis
The only interesting thing about this dancing is it's location : an old church.
Very commercial and crappy 'ambiance' music and the crowd is usually pretty
pathetic.
where/when/...: Try to find Beervelde, there's only one road there, so you
can't miss it ;-). Open on saturday and sunday.
Recently Feestpaleis burned down completely, so there's no point in going there at the moment. The management is working on a new location, so if you really want to go, you'll get a new chance pretty soon.

Fill Collins Club
Club in Antwerp (Schipperskwartier), open only on Fridays and on special occasions.
The location itself, an old revamped industrial (?) building, is very nice.

Fuse
Located in Brussels this club is considered the reference when it comes to techno. The DJ's are always top notch and giving their best, but the crowd is not. I'm guessing too much drugs is the reason why the people are very aggressive and not enjoyable at all.

Kokorico
Very close to my home, so you'll find me there very often. It's not really
a big dancing, but there's place enough, the music's very good lately: very
nice trance (new and true classics) mixed with some more popular things (à
la Solid Sounds). And a great party vibe.
where/when/...: Kokorico is located in Zomergem, but not in the centre, take
the road from Ghent to Eeklo. Don't follow the signs to Zomergem, but keep
following the 'main road'. You'll find it on your left, there's also a sky-tracer
so you shouldn't have any problem finding it. It opens around 22:00, and before
23:00 you pay only half the price to enter. The kokorico is open on saturdays
only, except on special occasions.
You can listen to Kokorico live on Topradio TRL (104.8 in and around Eeklo) every saturday.

Lamborghieni
The music's usually a mix between the better commercial songs and some good
trance/house, although the dj usually can't figure out which records belong
together with which, and there's no real 'line' in his set, just a bunch of
records played one after another. The crowd is usually very lazy, just stading
on the dancefloor. But if you're bored you can still watch the amazing lasershow.
Also, don't go there to party all-night long, by 3 o'clock the party is usually
almost over.
where/when/...: on the road from Ghent to Brugge, in Maldegem. Open every
saturday and on special occasions.

Lagoa
Big and beautiful club in Menen. The music is somewhere between trance and techno, influenced by the "jump" records that were so popular a few years back. The crowd is always up for it and bumping around like there's no tomorrow.
In the summertime there's a nice and spacious terras to chill out.

La Noche
Another small and very commercial dancing. Most of the people are 'locals',
so every week the same people. Lights aren't special either, and lately there
aren't too much people around. Only if you're bored and live in the neighbourhood.
where/when/...: It's rather hard to explain. This place is really remote,
try to find Oedelem, that's where it is. La Noche is open every saturday from
20:30h and there's always something to do (live act, karaoke, theme-night,
...)
I haven't been there in a long time, so things might have changed.

La Rocca
Does this club need any explenation? I don't think so, but anyway ... the music's is very nice (housy) but the crowd was a bit of a downer when I was there.
I've heard that sundays are better but I've only been there on saturday.
It doesn't mather how you call them. Clubs, disco's, dancings,... they remain the heart of the dance scene. They are the places where we go at night to listen to a nice tune, to watch the lightshow and the party crowd, to escape reality and above all the enjoy ourselfs and have some fun.
Here's a little list of dancings where I hang out and what I think about them. This list is definitly not the most complete or the biggest. It's just my personal thoughts about some of the clubs in Belgium. If you want a larger list check out the one at amphion or noctis.
If there are mistakes, please tell me.
